Every piece that leaves the studio is designed and made by Christopher, one at a time, for a single person and a single space. This is the work, and the standard behind it.
An Artist, Not a Factory
Dyer Design Glassworks is the studio of Christopher Dyer, an artist working in illuminated glass in Fort Lauderdale. He founded the studio on a simple idea, that light belongs inside the art rather than bolted on beside it, and that a piece made for one person should exist only once.
Christopher designs and makes every commission himself, from the first conversation to the finished piece. There is no catalog and no production line. Each work is designed around your space, your subject, and the way you want a room to feel, then made in specialty glass and lit with a smart, color changing system you control from your phone, a panel, or your voice.

Christopher and Dr. Christiana Marron
Dyer Design Glassworks is a Fort Lauderdale family studio. Christopher Dyer is the artist behind the glass, and his wife, Dr. Christiana Marron, a doctor of physical therapy in Fort Lauderdale, is part of the family behind it.
When you commission a piece, you work with Christopher himself, from the first idea to the finished, lit work, delivered with a Certificate of Authenticity in his name.

The studio sits in Fort Lauderdale's Thrive District, and it is where every commission is designed, made, and lit before it is delivered and set in place. Keeping the whole process here, rather than ordering from overseas, means Christopher controls every part of a piece, the glass, the image, the depth, and the light, and can shape it to exactly what a client wants.
It is also the best place to understand the work. Photographs only hint at the depth and the way the color moves through a piece. Seeing one lit, in person, is the moment most people decide. You are welcome to visit by appointment.
